A girl' self-esteem drops between the ages of 10-13. We believe to create healthy community and global leaders we need to develop the confidence and emotional strength of young girls. We create a safe space for those who identify as girls, to develop their inner strength through our 12 unit curriculum.
The ForUsGirls Foundation Inc. build self-esteem, assist them to build a vision for their future and find their own identity within their school and community. We achieve this by incorporating innovative creativity into our approach.
Our program is based on peer to peer conversations, engagement and thorough understanding of our collective experiences, journey, and marginalization. Girls' Club participants leave more confident with gained leadership and innovative skills to create their own successes and dreams.
The "Be Fierce & Daring" Program Curriculum engages young women and girls through confidence building activities & leadership skill development workshops through a holistic & wellness approach
< "Girls are 15 times more likely than boys to be hospitalized for eating disorders.">
Learning new skills not only gives girls self-confidence a boost and raises self-esteem, it also helps girls achieve a sense of purpose and connect with others to boot. < Girls between grade 6 and 10 report a drop in their confidence from 36% to 12% >
<6 in 10 women find it difficult to seek themselves as leaders.>
Our annual, "Dreams to Reality" Career day provides girls an opportunity to meet inspiring and accomplished local women in their community. This event is co-organized by the participants of our "Be Fierce & Daring" program.
