Isabella Tassoni is the city councillor for the municipal district of Laval-des-Rapides, in the Laval region. As the youngest elected woman in the 3rd biggest city in Quebec, her roles are to consider and manage the welfare and interests of her district as a whole and bring it to the council’s attention.
Originally from Laval herself, Isabella grew up as an entrepreneur and philanthropist at heart.
Despite her lack of political interests, things took quite the turn, after Isabella attended Concordia University. After graduating with a arts & science degree in Political Science, she fell in love with building communities, encouraging people to do the impossible all while serving and defending those around her.
After quitting her full-time job in the banking industry, Isabella was in the race to claim her spot as the official representative of the Laval municipality. Without any knowledge on how to manage or run a campaign, Isabella beat out her opposition and won her first election on November 5th, 2017.
Despite her electoral success, Isabella remains humble and grounded about her accomplishments. She believes that it’s essential to keep the right perspective, integrity and the importance of kindness, something she strives to instil in those around her, especially her youth team.
Without a doubt, it was her hard work and desire to excel that motivated Isabella to pursue her entrepreneurial and political lifestyle. It was her vision and courage that moved her up the ladder. Today, it is her warmth and passion that make her such a valuable resource to those around her.
