UpNext: Emerging Young Leaders - Ready to Launch Series focuses on providing The ForUsGirls Foundation Inc. social & business entrepreneurs fellows with tools, and workshops; to launch their recently designed projects to grow, and scale into successful and profitable thriving brands and businesses.
Meanwhile, only two of 300 grants, the Canadian government offered (through the Women's Entrepreneurship Fund) women-owned businesses went to Black-run companies in 2018. (Canadian Financial Post). UpNext Ready to Launch is designed to empower, support and fund young Black women entrepreneurs and change makers.
Amanda Marochko is currently the Head of Strategic Partnerships at Buffer. Prior to joining Buffer, she was an International Growth Lead at Shopify, working with hundreds of entrepreneurs throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

This workshop series will also provide women access to online professional, and technical development courses to register and complete to upskill, in better positioning themselves for the digital workforce during and post-covid19 work from home measures.
The Career Development Series: How to Get Noticed During Your job Search & Land Your Dream Job is lead by Chaneèle Macfarlane, Certified Career Strategist & TEDx Speaker and Top 100 Black Women to Watch in Canada.

Money Smart $ense is brought to you by ZalaSmart. A financial literacy company Black women-owned to empowers other womxn to live money-smart lives. Workshop participants will learn concepts that are not usually taught in schools or at
home.
These concepts can include understanding the power of compound interest, credit scores, budgeting, savings, debt, etc. Participants learning these important concepts at a young age will have the knowledge to be financially responsible adults. These skills will help them avoid debt traps and take advantage of the benefits of investing early.
This workshop will mainly focus on the importance and practice of saving & investments.
Lead Facilitator Tecla Kalinda. Tecla is the founder of ZalaSmart, a company that teaches, kids, teens, and youth the essential life skill of financial literacy. She studied economics at the University of Ottawa and is on track to complete her Masters in Financial Economics this year. She worked with experts in the financial and educational field who helped put together the ZalaSmart programs and is passionate about developing as many money-smart people as possible.
