The Accelerator
What is the YGL Accelerator?
The ForUsGirls Foundation Inc, Emerging Young Leaders Accelerator, also known as the SDGs Young Global Leaders Program, is a 7-week global leadership, professional development and entrepreneurship training accelerator. The program targets young womxn & girls of coloureddd 16-24 from underserved & underprivileged communities to develop as innovators, entrepreneurs and global champions of the UN Global Goals.
Successful applicants receive training in entrepreneurship, design thinking, business model lean canvas, design thinking, agile project management, e-commerce platforms, branding & digital marketing, financial planning, corporate & community sponsorship and business development.
Participants produce weekly deliverables towards their start-up idea or community project to support the UN 17 Global Goals. After the accelerator program, the young leaders pitch to community and business leaders for micro-seed funding at the program finalefor as they share personal testimonies and start their entrepreneurial journey.
