"The Young Global Leaders Accelerator program has helped me have more of an entrepreneurial mindset; the program has taught me the effective process when addressing problems both personal and in my career.
The program, through its various guest speakers, has also helped me create balance in my life, I learned to care for myself and my mental well being. I noticed after completing the program that there are endless opportunities to better yourself and create my businesses to help others if I set my mind to it.
Previously, I had believed my passion for art could only be a hobby, but with the help of this program, I was able to put my art into action and help develop an application. I will continue to find various ways to connect my art to my career aspirations."

This scholarship will help me learn more about running a business and how to do so with technology. I will continue to advocate for black youth in my community and at school. As well as hopefully starting my YGL business that will provide black students with flexible employment along with mentorship and sponsorship."

ForUsGirls Community Support Worker
"The ForUsGirls Foundation, Emerging Young Global Leaders Accelerator, allowed me to use my personal and professional skills to contribute meaningfully to enhancing the quality of life of young women of colour. The ForUsGirls Foundation represents the people in the world that I feel called to serve. After obtaining my diploma in Special Care Counselling, FUG offered me numerous opportunities to apply my learning and skills developed. At the onset of Covid-19, I recognized the importance of quality mental health support for people of colour. This further encouraged me to follow my calling and pursue enhanced education in the counselling profession.."
